This fund is established by Missouri Revised Statutes Chapter 210, Section 210.861 and Missouri Revised Statutes Chapter 67. Section 76.1775. The question passed on the Lafayette County April 2005 Ballot.

 Eligibility: The following types of organizations are eligible to seek support under the LCCSF funding program: • Public or not-for-profit agencies (501 c3) with programs that impact mental health, substance abuse outpatient treatment, and the prevention of child abuse and neglect services. • Applicants must be registered with the Secretary of State to conduct business in Missouri as classified as being in good standing. • Require that background checks, including child abuse and neglect screenings, are conducted annually on all employees and volunteers. • Require that employment and services be provided regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability/handicap condition, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, veterans’ status, political affiliation, or other non-merit factors. • Applicant organization must have the demonstrated capacity to carry out program work funded by the grant, to exercise financial controls, use generally accepted accounting procedures, and have an annual audit performed by an independent CPA. Service Areas: Through the 1/8 cent sales tax designated to provide mental health services for Lafayette County kids, the LCCSF funds: • Counseling • Crisis Intervention • Temporary Shelter • Respite Care • Outpatient Psychiatry • Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment • School Based Prevention Services • Services to Teen Moms/Parents • Transitional Living Services • Home and Community Based Services Ineligible Services: • Inpatient services (Medical, Psychiatric, and Chemical Dependency) • Transportation services • Administrative expenses • Equipment, brick or mortar expenses Funding
